Pricing FAQ · twenty questions

Questions we get on most discovery calls.

  1. 01

How much does a website cost in Mobile, Alabama?

A small business website in Mobile, Alabama typically runs $3,500 to $18,000 depending on page count, integrations, and turnaround pressure. EP Studio publishes four fixed-fee tiers on this page: a five-page brochure site at $3,500 to $5,000, a ten-page small business site with a blog at $6,500 to $9,500, a mid-market site with a content management system at $12,000 to $18,000, and an e-commerce build at $8,500 to $14,000. The number printed on the proposal is the number you pay. Local Mobile-area agencies typically gate pricing behind a discovery call and a custom quote, which makes apples-to-apples comparison hard for a small business owner. Optional hosting and maintenance attaches at $100 to $200 per month, cancelable any time, and the hosting account stays in your name.

  2. 02

What does a small business website cost?

A small business website costs $3,500 to $9,500 depending on whether you need just an online brochure or a working blog and contact pipeline. The five-page brochure tier covers home, services, about, contact, and one additional page, runs $3,500 to $5,000, and ships in fourteen days. The ten-page small business tier adds a blog with MDX authoring, newsletter signup, multi-step contact forms, and full SEO with LocalBusiness schema. It runs $6,500 to $9,500 and ships in twenty-one days. Both tiers include Google Business Profile cross-linking, Core Web Vitals passing, post-launch warranty, and a training call so you can update text yourself. The Vercel hosting account is set up in your name from day one, and the GitHub repository transfers to your account on launch day.

  3. 03

How long does it take to build a website?

Fourteen days for a five-page brochure site, twenty-one for a ten-page small business site with a blog, thirty-five for a mid-market build with a content management system, and forty-two for a full e-commerce launch with checkout. EP Studio prints every turnaround on the signed proposal. The cadence works because week one is brand lock: every page heading written and approved in markdown before any design file opens. Week two and beyond is design and code in parallel with daily staging deploys. Two operators ship faster than seven because there is no hand-off layer. No account manager translating between client and builder, no junior queue waiting for senior review. If we miss the date for a reason inside our control, the post-launch warranty extends to cover the gap and we fix it on our time.

  4. 04

    What is a productized website?

A productized website is a packaged web design service with a fixed price, fixed scope, and fixed turnaround printed on the proposal before any work begins. EP Studio sells four productized tiers. Brochure at $3,500 to $5,000 for five pages in fourteen days. Small Business at $6,500 to $9,500 for ten pages with a blog in twenty-one days. Mid-market at $12,000 to $18,000 for twenty-five pages with a content management system in thirty-five days. E-commerce at $8,500 to $14,000 for a Shopify or WooCommerce storefront in forty-two days. The opposite of productized is custom hourly billing, where the scope expands during the build and the bill arrives larger than the quote. Productized scope makes the cadence predictable for the studio and the budget predictable for the client.

  5. 05

Should I hire a local web designer in Mobile, Alabama?

Hiring a local web designer in Mobile, Alabama buys you three things a remote agency cannot match: in-person discovery calls when the project warrants it, Gulf Coast market intuition for what works on a phone in a parking lot in Mobile, and a real address in Mobile County that the IRS and your customers can both verify. EP Studio is headquartered at 10268 Oak Lane in Grand Bay, Mobile County. The two operators are Carl Sapp and Branden Behrmann. Service area covers Mobile city first, then Baldwin County (Daphne, Fairhope, Foley), then the wider Gulf Coast Alabama metro. Discovery calls happen in person when the build justifies it and over video for everything else. The trade-off versus a national agency is structural focus: we sell websites, four tiers, the hosting add-on. That is the whole menu.

  6. 06

What does a restaurant website cost in Mobile, Alabama?

A restaurant website in Mobile, Alabama runs $3,500 to $9,500 depending on whether you need an online menu plus contact form (brochure tier, $3,500 to $5,000, fourteen days) or full reservations integration plus a blog for seasonal specials (small business tier, $6,500 to $9,500, twenty-one days). Both tiers include mobile-first responsive design, Google Business Profile cross-linking for local-search citation, Core Web Vitals passing so the menu page loads on a phone in under one second, and Restaurant schema in the structured data so Google can surface your hours, address, and cuisine in local search. The Vercel hosting account is set up in your name. Online ordering, third-party reservation tools like OpenTable, and POS integration are quoted as scope add-ons or fall under the e-commerce tier depending on volume.

  7. 07

How much should a five-page website cost?

A five-page website should cost between $3,500 and $5,000 for a small business in a US metropolitan market, built on a modern static framework like Next.js with full SEO setup and JSON-LD structured data. That price covers home, services, about, contact, and one additional page (an FAQ, news, or hours page), mobile-first responsive design, a contact form with email forwarding, Google Business Profile cross-linking, basic SEO with meta tags and sitemap and robots.txt and JSON-LD LocalBusiness schema, DNS configuration and HTTPS setup, one round of design review and one round of content review, Vercel hosting account setup in your name, a thirty-day post-launch warranty for bugs, and a training call on how to update text yourself. The EP Studio brochure tier ships this scope in fourteen days from signed proposal to live URL.

  8. 08

What tier of website do I need for my business?

Pick the brochure tier ($3,500 to $5,000, fourteen days) if you need five pages and one clear contact action. Pick small business ($6,500 to $9,500, twenty-one days) if you have multiple service lines, want a blog you can actually post to, and need a contact pipeline that routes leads by topic. Pick mid-market ($12,000 to $18,000, thirty-five days) if you have a real content library, multiple service verticals, and need integrations like Mailchimp, HubSpot, a Stripe deposit form, or a calendar embed that work in production. Pick e-commerce ($8,500 to $14,000, forty-two days) if you sell products and need a working cart, checkout, and payment processing. If the tier you pick turns out to be wrong, we adjust scope in the discovery call before the proposal lands, not after.

  9. 09

    Why is your pricing public?

Hiding pricing wastes time. Most Mobile-area agencies gate pricing behind a discovery call. We publish four flat-fee tiers with scope and turnaround printed next to each price. If the number works, book the call. If not, you keep your time.

  10. 10

What if my scope changes during the build?

We write a change order. Any work outside the listed scope requires a written change order with a new price and timeline. Happy to take the extra work. Not happy to scope-creep silently and run over budget.

  11. 11

    Do you offer payment plans?

Two payments by default. Fifty percent deposit on signed proposal, fifty percent on launch day. For tiers over $10,000 we will split into three milestone payments if you ask: deposit, mid-build, launch.

  12. 12

Can I bring my own copywriter or photographer?

Yes, and we recommend it for any tier above brochure. We do not write long-form copy or shoot photography. We do edit your draft copy for length and clarity, and source stock imagery within tier scope.

  13. 13

What if my site is not ready by the turnaround date?

If we miss the date for a reason inside our control, the post-launch warranty extends to cover the gap and we fix it on our time. If the delay is from your side, we pause the clock and resume when content lands.

  14. 14

Do you transfer ownership of the code and the hosting account?

Yes, every time. The Vercel account is yours. The domain stays in your name. The GitHub repo transfers to your account on launch day. We never hold a client account, a domain, or a codebase hostage.

  15. 15

What is not included in any tier?

Logo design and rebrand work. Long-form copywriting. Original photography and video production. Content migration past the page count for your tier. Custom backend services beyond the listed integrations. App development. Ongoing maintenance unless you attach the hosting add-on.

  16. 16

Who owns the domain and the hosting accounts?

You do, from day one. We set up the Vercel hosting account under your email, configure DNS on your behalf, and transfer the GitHub repository to your account on launch day. We are the builder, not the landlord.

  17. 17

What is your refund and cancellation policy?

Before week one starts, the deposit is fully refundable. After week one starts, we keep the deposit and return any unused balance pro-rated to time spent. If we cannot deliver the scope inside the turnaround for reasons inside our control, we refund the full deposit.

  18. 18

Do you take on rebuilds of existing sites?

Yes, and the tier maps cleanly. Same package selection, same fixed price, same turnaround. Content migration up to the tier page count is included. Migrations past that page count are quoted as a separate scope add-on.

  19. 19

Can two operators really ship at this cadence?

Yes, because we run productized scope and AI-assisted production. We use AI assistance for drafting, image variations, code scaffolding, and audit passes. Every output is reviewed by a human operator. The bottleneck is not how fast we can type, it is how fast we can review.

  20. 20

    What happens after launch?

We ask for the referral. We capture a case study. We attach the optional hosting add-on if you want it. We do not push for retainers. EP Studio is a website shop. We sell the next website, not the recurring relationship.
